8th January Prayer

Lord,

The newness of the year has softened now, and the days have settled into their usual pace. I bring this ordinary moment to You, trusting that nothing offered to You is small.

Help me to remain faithful when there is little encouragement, when progress feels slow, and when prayer feels simple and unremarkable. Teach me to believe that You are as present now as You were at the beginning.

Be with me in repetition and routine.

Be with me when patience is tested.

Let me not despise the quiet work of this day.

When I am tempted to hurry ahead, steady me.

When I feel unnoticed, remind me that You see all things.

When I grow weary, let Your presence be enough.

I place this day into Your hands, not asking for signs, but for steadiness. Not for reassurance, but for trust.

Remain with me, Lord, especially in the ordinary.

Amen.

P.S. If this prayer helped you pause for a moment, a quiet coffee helps keep these daily reflections going. Donate here.
