9th January Prayer

Lord,

Today I place down what I have been carrying too tightly.

The plans I keep revisiting.
The words I wish I had said differently.
The outcomes I cannot control, no matter how much I rehearse them.

You have not asked me to manage everything.
You have asked me to trust You.

Teach me the freedom of open hands. Let me work faithfully without grasping, hope without anxiety, and love without needing to secure the result.

When I am tempted to control what belongs to You, loosen my grip.
When fear disguises itself as responsibility, help me see it clearly.
When I feel the urge to fix everything at once, remind me that You are already at work.

I give You this day, not as a project to be perfected, but as a gift to be received.

Remain with me, Lord,
and teach me how to rest in Your care.

Amen.
