The theological virtues—Faith, Hope, and Love—are gifts from God, infused into our souls to guide us toward eternal communion with Him. They are not mere human efforts but divine graces that shape our journey to holiness.
The 3 Theological Virtues are as follows:
1 – Faith
Faith is the foundation of our relationship with God. It is the light that allows us to see beyond the limits of this world and trust in the truth of God’s revelation. As Pope John Paul II taught, “Faith and reason are like two wings on which the human spirit rises to the contemplation of truth.” Through faith, we believe in Christ, in His Church, and in the promises of God, even when the road is unclear.
2 – Hope
Hope lifts our hearts above despair, anchoring us in God’s eternal goodness. It is the virtue that keeps us steadfast in trials, reminding us that we are made for something greater than this life. Pope John Paul II often reminded the world, “Do not be afraid! Open wide the doors to Christ!” Hope assures us that no suffering is meaningless, for in Christ, all things are redeemed.
3 – Love / Charity
Love or charity is the highest of the virtues, for it is the very nature of God Himself. It is not merely affection but a self-giving love that mirrors Christ’s sacrifice. As John Paul II wrote, “Love is never defeated, and the history of humanity is the history of God’s love for us.” True love transforms the heart, leading us to serve, forgive, and embrace all as Christ did.
Faith leads us to God, hope keeps us on the journey, and love unites us fully with Him. These virtues are the keys to holiness and the path to eternal joy.
Totus Tuus, O Lord! 🙏✨
